Experiment 02

Parts

The Question

Internal Family Systems therapy is transformative. But what happens between sessions? The insights fade, the language slips away, and we forget how to talk to the parts of ourselves that need attention.

What if you had a companion who remembered your inner world? Who could help you continue those conversations when your therapist isn't there?

The Itch

I discovered IFS recently and found it remarkably useful. The framework of talking to different "parts" (the anxious protector, the wounded exile, the controlling manager) suddenly made sense of inner conflicts I'd long struggled to understand.

What if AI could hold the map of your inner world between sessions?

But remembering the language, tracking which parts I'd worked with, noticing patterns across months? That was hard. My journal became a scattered mess of half-formed insights.

The Discovery

Parts is now live as an early beta: an AI voice companion designed specifically for IFS practice. Not a replacement for therapy, but a bridge between sessions.

It's still young, still finding its shape. If you try it, I'd genuinely love to hear what resonates and what feels off. The best tools are shaped by the people who use them.

Voice Conversations

Speak naturally to explore your inner world. The AI guides you through IFS-informed dialogue, helping you connect with parts.

Parts Memory

The app remembers the parts you've discovered: their names, qualities, and what they need. Your inner world, mapped over time.

Pattern Recognition

Notice themes across sessions. Which parts show up together? What triggers certain protectors? Insights emerge from the data.

Session Summaries

After each conversation, receive a thoughtful summary you can share with your therapist or keep for your own reflection.

Try the Beta

Parts is live and evolving. Try a session, see what surfaces, and share your experience. It shapes what this becomes.
