What "agentic" means here

A chatbot answers questions. An agentic system actually does things. It works in a loop: it gathers what it needs, checks it against your criteria, decides what to do next, and either acts or hands you a clear recommendation. It can use the tools you already have, remember what it has seen before, and keep going on its own when the work is repetitive.
The judgement calls that carry real risk stay with a person. The grind doesn't. That balance, software that recommends and a human who decides, is usually where this works best.
A real example
Four hours of document review, down to minutes
A certification client was assessing submitted raw-material documents by hand. Each one had to be checked for correctness, valid dates, and whether it met their criteria, and it took around four hours a submission. I built an agentic flow that reads each document, runs those checks itself, and recommends an action: accept, ask for more information, or flag it as unsuitable.
A person still makes the final call, but they start from a clear recommendation instead of a blank page. The review went from hours to minutes.
